This Privacy Policy explains how dōCamera ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the dōCamera mobile application (the "App").
dōCamera is a photo editing app built to work primarily on your device. In general, the photos you choose, capture, and edit stay on your device unless you explicitly decide to share them outside the App using your device’s built-in sharing tools.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
A. Photos and Media You Choose
When you use the App to pick a photo from your library or take a photo with your camera, the App accesses only the content you choose or create. Your original photos, edited images, stickers placed on photos, and text overlays are processed locally on your device. We do not upload your personal photos or edited images to our servers as part of the normal editing experience.
B. Local App Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores certain information locally on your device so the experience works properly between sessions. This may include your edit history, saved thumbnails, app preferences, and whether launch free access or premium-style access has been unlocked on that device. This local data is stored on-device and is not treated by us as a cloud user profile.
C. Cloud Sticker Catalog and Content Delivery
The App may load sticker metadata and sticker image assets from our hosted infrastructure, including Supabase-hosted content. When your device requests that content, our service providers may automatically receive limited technical information such as your IP address, request headers, device/browser details, and standard server log information needed to deliver content securely and reliably.
D. Support Communications
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address and any details you choose to share.
E. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not require you to create an account to use the App. We do not intentionally collect your name, mailing address, contacts, calendar data, precise location, health data, or biometric identifiers through the App’s normal functionality.
2. How We Use Information
We use limited information only to operate and improve the App.
This includes: providing core editing features, loading sticker content, remembering your local preferences and edit history, saving exports to your device when you request it, remembering launch-access or premium-access state on your device, responding to support inquiries, and protecting the reliability and security of the App and related infrastructure.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your photos for advertising, model training, or unrelated commercial profiling.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share limited information only in the following situations:
- Service providers: We use third-party infrastructure providers, including Supabase and related hosting/content-delivery services, to deliver cloud sticker content and operate the App.
- User-directed sharing: If you use your device’s share sheet or export tools, your content may be shared with the destination you choose.
- Legal or safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or if reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the App.
- Business transfer: If the App or related assets are transferred in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, information related to the operation of the App may transfer as part of that transaction.
4. Device Permissions
The App may request access to certain device features only when needed for a feature you choose to use.
Camera: Used so you can take a photo inside the App.
Photo Library / Media Library: Used so you can choose an image to edit and save finished images back to your device.
These permissions are optional, but some features will not work without them. You can manage or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
5. Storage and Retention
Your personal photos and most editing data remain on your device unless you explicitly share them outside the App.
Local app data remains on your device until you remove it, clear app storage, or delete the App, subject to your device or platform backup settings.
Technical logs handled by our service providers are retained according to their operational and security practices and only as reasonably necessary for delivery, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
At the current launch stage, the App may locally store whether limited-time free access or premium-style access has been enabled for your device.
The current App experience does not require us to collect or store your payment card information. If paid subscriptions are enabled in the future, payment processing would be handled by the applicable app store or purchase provider, and this Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect that flow.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will review the request.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can stop future collection through the App by uninstalling it and by revoking permissions in your device settings.
Because most app data is stored locally on your device and we keep very little personal information on our side, our ability to access, correct, or delete data may be limited to information actually under our control, such as support emails you send us or limited provider-side operational records.
If applicable law gives you privacy rights, you may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice inside the App.
